About Me

Hi! I'm Sydney, a self titled Birth Keeper with a heart and passion to help families navigate the path that works best for them. Family, pregnancy and motherhood have been some of my greatest joys. It is a privilege to have gained a skill set that allows me to help parents achieve joy, confidence and success in these areas as well. Below you will learn a bit more about me and the journey that brought me to Kindred Additions. I hope to hear from you soon.

I'm a trained and experienced Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Educator and Facilitator. I relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 2026 from the Midwest, bringing a refreshing, yet simple and insightful warmth to the support of families and expectant parents.

Physiological Birth and Breaking Generational Cycles is a large part of my passion. The knowledge and expertise I've gained brings together a unique, diverse social lens and relational approach to "doing family" for all walks of life. My background and education includes: Montessori Early Childhood & Parent Educator, Trauma Sensitive Care, Foster Care, Family Support, Parent Leadership, Healing Centered Care and Black Culture & History.

In my free time I value time with my daughter and family. I love walks in nature, exploring the arts and indulging in my vinyl album collection. Whether your present journey is focused on pregnancy, birth, post partum or how to create the best environment while parenting your kiddos, it is my honor that you would consider taking me along for the ride.

Testimonials

“I am so grateful to have had Sydney with me for my second pregnancy. After a traumatic first birth I had fears and anxiety into my second that I just couldn’t shake alone. She equipped me with the confidence and support that I needed to accomplish the birth of my dreams, that then translated to postpartum and motherhood to this day. I felt like I mattered for once and that my thoughts and cares had a place to land. This is what true support and sisterhood looks and feels like.” -A.D.

"He's such a joy to have! I was so worried about being able to connect with him. But you were right, I just needed to meet him. I haven't had any issues loving my little peanut." -S.R.

“I really do appreciate you for being there for me and baby K, we love you.” -T.B.

“Sydney was a great postpartum doula. She provided the practical support I needed, and

listened when I needed to talk about my experiences. She has a warm and generous presence. Her early support is still helping me, as I am drinking a pineapple tea we made when she was coming over, months after our contract ended.” -H.L.
